Introducing Dr. Gyal Lo’s lecture series: Sociology of Tibet.

As continuation from the 2rd lecture, In this lecture, speaker will focus on the issue of how to inform the foundation of Tibetan sociology by addressing:

• 1) the need of new knowledge;
• 2) the need of dialectical localization of modern sociology and Tibetan traditional knowledge for Tibetan sociology in:
  • a) conceptual development; b) applicable foundation from Tibetan philosophy;
  • c) the relations of the two realities to modern sociology;
  • d) the notion of structuration as philosophical concept in Tibetan sociology.
