This episode explores the nexus between colonization and racism in the context of Tibet under China –discussing how Tibetans are marginalized and discriminated against because of their racial/ethnic identity as a separate people with a unique culture and history different from China. In addition, owing to their historical memory and national pride, we discuss how Tibetans creatively challenge the Chinese racist prejudices against them by tapping into their rich cultural traditions such as Buddhism.
